No sound on VMWare Workstation

Hello, I have installed Menuet on VMWare and I am not getting any sound except PC speaker. I see the default driver is intel hda, that is what I actually have in hardware. I have tried forcing it by editing the vmx file, this works with other OSes but Menuet still does not recognize the soundcard. Are there other sound drivers available?

I recommend using VirtualBox for emulation. However, the driver could be missing the PCI ID of your soundcard. The driver sources are at download-section.
